Autism Screenings

If you suspect your child of having autism, Responding to Autism offers autism screenings for children ages 18 months through adulthood. The goal of the screening is to determine whether autism is likely and a further evaluation is needed to make a formal medical diagnosis. 

 

The screenings are approximately 60 to 90 minutes. Screening tools used are designed specifically to detect autism spectrum disorder.  A combination of observation, interaction, interview, and standardized screening tools are used by a masters-level autism specialist to determine the likelihood of autism and the need for further evaluation.  Screening results and appropriate resources are provided to each family or individual.
